 Jamie Hewlett's tattoos
« Result #13 on Oct 17, 2009, 9:51am »

I was watching the Oxfam video about Jamie's trip to Bangladesh and noticed that he has a few fairly prominent tattoos. I guess I only see photos of him in long sleeves. Does anyone know what the tattoos are or have decent photos. I am always fascinated to see what designers and artist decide to commit to ink.

PS. I was ready to buy one of Jamie's prints, when i found out they only send the prints to UK addresses. Sad

I have found a great little site that sells canvas art. Arts My Passion (artsmypassion dot com) sells a wide range of canvas art with categories including abstract, modern, Asian, African, and much more. Each piece is hand painted and gallery wrapped. Hello everyone,

Just looking to see if there is any interest in this. Limited to 50 Prints, this was on sale in the Gorillaz shop. It comes with a letter from Parlaphone. I saw it once a few years back on the UK ebay site but not again since. This one is number 44.

Unfortunately, he says that the magazine "The Face" had lost the original artwork, and so he had lost his own drawings, and he do not want to reprint the original series, which is a fu@#ing shame... (see more: http://gorillaz-unofficial.com/Jamie08/jamie.html )
But i can give you the direction to the unique episode found on the whole net(There´s just two sites with this episode, so updload soon before it disappears) i guess this is the first episode of the series.

First website: http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=get%20the%20freebies&w=25465614%40N00

Second website: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=15599

And, of course, if you liked the cartoon, you probably liked the TV pilot on BBC three, and as i´m seeding the two last torrents on the whole net containing the video, i think it would be fair to share with you, since you won´t be able to read the whole original story(oh, Burk is not a Gorilla, but a guy stuck in a costume that went crazy).

Torrent 1(medium video quality/361MB): http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4716745/Phoo_Action_-_Full_episode_-_by_Santanao

Torrent 2(high video quality/529MB): http://www.mininova.org/tor/1169127

See ya!

 Some Big Sponge Finger advice?
« Result #40 on Mar 23, 2009, 12:55am »

hey guys, I bought A BSF many years ago from what, I presume, was Santa's Ghetto - we're talking five six years back.

The odd thing about my print is that it's XX/79 - a very low number release.

Anyone know anything about this particular batch - the others were huge releases..

Does anyone know the whereabouts of edition N0 23 of this fine set of artwork as I would be prepared to pay good money for any or all of this edition 23 hour party people ! :-*

No replies as at 29.01.09 if I offered £1000.00 per picture would it mysteriously make one or all of them appear ;)

I have The Hick limited edition print (and profesionally framed in black with red bounding which incidently looks great!). Number 672/750.

I have decided to sell it (my missus is not a big fan) but unsure of how much I should market it for? Also what's the best place to sell it apart from ebay?

Many thanks in advance!

 Murdoc print
« Result #69 on Apr 12, 2008, 10:52pm »

my teenage son brought an unsigned but framed Murdoc print (as in avatar) today at Arterepublic. He paid an arm and a leg for it with his savings.....Can't find any info on it on the internet, except being unavailable on Amazon. Does anyone know how much they were originally. Just interested to compare Arterepublic price.

 Jamie Hewlett contact details
« Result #73 on Mar 18, 2008, 11:46am »

Hello

I don't suppose anybody has Jamie Hewlett's email or any other contact details? I have an architect who is desperate to get hold of him with potential work offers.

Thanks!

Demon Days is the one album that grabbed my attention to Gorillaz. Damon could not have made a better album after Gorillaz first album and I'm sure phase 3 will blow us all out of the water!! The magic of Demon Days has me under it's spell, for I can listen to this music over and over again and never get tired of it. ;D

Jamie is the most amazing, brilliant and talented artist of our time. I love his cool way of throwing little subliminal hand jesters in some of the pictures that he takes with other people and his down to earth mannerism. He and Damon are the two most incredibly handsome and sexy men on the planet and I would very much love to meet them one day :)

i don't know what I am replying to, but I have two songs that I know Jamie and Damon would be amuzed by, one is sucking grandpas thingy, and the other is ugly boring people. I lost track of you guys after Westbourne Grove, but if you have a moment check out the crimpelines on ilike and you will find the songs there. I am so pleased for both of you. In my mind I see a very warped cartoon, all the best love Lou

I have 2 Limited Edition Jamie Hewlett Silkscreen prints for sale.

As a guide I have tentatively priced the images which come complete with frame, these prices may be negotiable and will depend on the interest generated. If you are a Jamie Hewlett fan, act fast it's not often prints like these are available on the open market, (just check out ebay, you won't find anything like this up there)

Assault Lolly w69cm h 90cm = £589
available to view at :

Stained Glass w49cm h91cm £300

I used his cartoons, twisted them up a bit, to make party fliers. That was in 1989, when I thought he was probably an ex-biker, Californian toon artist who would never know - I realise I was wrong, it was wrong, but thanks Jamie. Wish I could have seen Monkey.

Jamie, remember me, Lianne Kent from the Needles? You drew a great mural at the youth centre. Alun Rice helped you. You were mates with him and my brother, Jaime. Glad you made it filthy rich, you are very talented......

 Requesting Info
« Result #84 on Jan 27, 2008, 9:08pm »

OK, just joined this fabulous forum. I am currently working on a project about Jamie, for a sort of Arts course, and I was wondering if people had any particulalry interesting tidbits they'd like to share [ ;)] or any grand ideas on how to present it/what to include? I'm open to all ideas :)

 Signed or Unsigned?
« Result #91 on Dec 3, 2007, 2:08am »

Looking to buy one of the windows for my boyfriend for Xmas. Limited student budget (sob). Is it better to get a small signed one or a big unsigned one?! Or come to that two small unsigned ones?! Argh!
My primary goal is to buy something he likes, not an investment, but then if he ever wanted to get rid of it...

Cheers!
